Check whether your mouse can hold a click steadily and drag smoothly, without unwanted releases. This helps spot "double-click" button chatter and worn-out switches that break drag-and-drop.

How This Test Works
Two quick tests check different parts of your left mouse button's behavior.
Press & Hold Test: Press and hold the left mouse button inside the box for at least 3 seconds without letting go, then release.
We watch for any moment your button registers a "release" and an immediate "press" again while you were still physically holding it down โ a sign of button chatter.
Drag & Drop Test: Click and hold the blue block, drag it into the dashed target box, then release the button.
If the block drops before reaching the target, or the click releases mid-drag, that points to the same underlying issue โ a mouse button that can't hold a steady click.

Why this matters: Over time, the micro-switch under a mouse button can wear out, causing it to briefly "let go" during a single physical press โ even though your finger never lifted. This shows up as accidental double-clicks, files or text getting dropped mid-drag, or dragged windows snapping back unexpectedly. If this test repeatedly detects unexpected releases or missed drags, your mouse button switch may need attention or replacement.
