๐ŸŽฏ Mouse DPI Test

Estimate your mouse's effective sensitivity (DPI) by moving it a known physical distance along a ruler. Works entirely in your browser โ€” no software to install.

How This Test Works

You'll need a physical ruler or tape measure next to your mouse for this test.

  1. Place a ruler flat on your desk, next to your mouse.
  2. Enter the distance you plan to move your mouse below (e.g. 4 inches).
  3. Click Start Test, then move your mouse in one smooth, straight line along the ruler for exactly that distance.
  4. Click Stop Test the moment you finish moving. Your estimated DPI will be calculated instantly.

Run the DPI Test

Set the physical distance you'll move your mouse, then start the test.

Press "Start Test" to begin
Then move your mouse anywhere on the page
Note: Browsers cannot read raw hardware sensor data, so this measures your mouse's effective on-screen sensitivity โ€” a combination of its real DPI and your OS pointer-speed setting. For an exact hardware DPI reading, use your mouse manufacturer's software. For best accuracy here, disable "Enhance pointer precision" (Windows) and move the mouse in one smooth, straight, steady motion.
